About our Program

Bite of HOPE Culinary curriculum is based on the fundamentals of cooking with an emphasis on healthy options.

For week 1 it will be an intro to culinary arts, kitchen safety, and sanitation.

Week 2 and 3 will be all about knife skills, basic preparation techniques and cooking methods.

Week 3 and 4 will be talking about vegetables, how to cook with them and identifying flavor enhancers.  

Weeks 5, 6, &7 will be about meat, poultry, and seafood.

Week 8 and 9 we will discuss international cuisines, their flavor profiles and how different cultures express healthy cooking.

Weeks 10 and 11 will be about healthy cooking, nutrition, special diet considerations and meal planning.

Lastly our last week will be practical exams and graduation.
